Message from the Principal

Building Principal

Welcome to Clearwater Intermediate Middle School! As the principal of our 4th through 8th grade building, I’m excited to partner with you during this important stage in your child’s academic and personal development. These middle years are full of growth, exploration, and increasing independence—and your involvement continues to play a crucial role.

We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that challenges students academically while helping them build confidence, responsibility, and character.

Here are some ways you can support your child’s success throughout these formative years:

  • Maintain open communication: Keep the lines of communication open with your child about school, friendships, and their feelings. Knowing they have your support helps them navigate the challenges of growing up.

  • Establish consistent routines: Help your child balance schoolwork, extracurriculars, and downtime by setting a structured schedule and providing a quiet place to study.

  • Encourage independence and accountability: As students move through upper elementary and middle school, they benefit from gradually taking more responsibility for managing their time, homework, and commitments.

  • Stay connected with school: Regularly check our PowerSchool parent portal, attend conferences and events, and reach out to teachers or staff with any questions or concerns.

  • Promote healthy habits: Encourage regular sleep, nutritious meals, and physical activity. These habits support both academic focus and emotional well-being.

  • Foster a love of learning: Whether it’s reading together, exploring new interests, or talking about current events, showing curiosity and enthusiasm for learning goes a long way.

Together, we can guide your child through these transitional years with confidence and care. Please don’t hesitate to contact us—we’re here to support you and your child every step of the way.
