Message from the Principal

Welcome to Clearwater High School! As your principal, I want to emphasize the importance of a strong partnership between home and school. The high school years are a critical time for academic growth, personal development, and preparing for life after graduation—and your involvement can make a tremendous difference.

We are committed to maintaining a supportive, challenging, and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. As your child navigates these formative years, here are a few ways you can help them stay on the path to success:

• Encourage open communication: Talk regularly with your teen about school, their goals, and any challenges they may be facing. Let them know you're there to support and guide them.

• Support time management: Help your child develop effective study habits, maintain a calendar of assignments and activities, and balance academics with extracurricular commitments.

• Promote responsibility and independence: High school is a time for students to take more ownership of their learning and decisions. Encourage them to advocate for themselves and seek help when needed.

• Stay involved: Attend parent-teacher conferences, school events, and stay connected through email or our PowerSchool parent portal. Your engagement shows your teen that their education matters.

• Prioritize wellness: Adequate sleep, proper nutrition, and managing stress are essential to academic success and overall well-being. Encourage healthy habits and self-care.

• Plan for the future: Whether your child is considering college, trade school, military service, or entering the workforce, early conversations about post-high school plans can help them set meaningful goals.
