Clearwater USD 264 is pleased to announce that Mr. Ryan Dieckgrafe has been selected as the assistant principal for the high school. Dieckgrafe joins Mr. Eric Cooper, principal, in leadership of the school. His role will include directing activities and athletics.

Dieckgrafe and his family, wife Amy and son Rhett, will join the Clearwater community from Gardner, Kansas, where he has served as a high school physical education teacher and coach for the past four years.

“I grew up nearby and my family has a farm southeast of Clearwater that has been in our family since 1873, so I am very familiar with the area and we feel like this is a homecoming,” Dieckgrafe said. “I am very excited to be a Clearwater Indian.”

Dieckgrafe received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management and Graduate Licensure from the University of Kansas. He earned his Master of Science in Educational Administration from Emporia State University. Previously, he taught and coached at Derby High School and Perry-Lecomption High School.

Dieckgrafe has been preparing for an opportunity like this. He said, “This is a dream come true for my family and me. With the help of Mr. Cooper and the staff, I have a vision to build Clearwater into one of the premier athletic programs in the area that will consistently compete for championships. I know that doesn't happen overnight, but I believe in the people of this community and know they will support us to the very end.”

Before teaching Dieckgrafe worked in the business side of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and Division 1 college programs as well as with professional teams in the NBA and WNBA.

“I can’t wait to get to know everyone,” he said. “I’m ready to help students achieve their goals and hopefully improve their day whenever possible!”

We are #ClearwaterProud to welcome Dieckgrafe and his family to Clearwater.
