Tech College & Career Night

Tech College & Career Night
For 8-11 Grade Students and Families
7  p.m.
Wednesday, February 16
High School Auditorium

Tech College and Career Night is all about getting the information students and parents need to decide on high school courses and explore future careers. Representatives from WSU Tech and Cowley College will present information on their respective programs and answer questions.

The information is geared toward the high school technical course programs - such as machining, welding and CNA.  If your child is unsure what path they would choose or already knows that something in the technology field appeals to them, then this night is for you!

Come learn about courses offered here at Clearwater High School and on college campuses. Some courses are free of charge and some are available for a small fee. Most are dual credit, which means students earn credit hours needed to graduate from high school and college at the same time.

“Eighth grade is a wonderful time to start thinking about possible future careers in the technology fields. We encourage you to come to Tech College and Career Night. It’s a more stress-free time to explore interests and get started on a path as a Freshman,” said Guidance Counselor Jennifer Ankerholz. “For high school students, it’s never too late to pick an interest and go for it.”

Students will be picking their 2022-2023 CHS courses this Spring. The Tech College and Career Night will help you know which courses fit interests and goals. Students can pick a general area of interest and hone in as an upperclassman.
